D-Pharm Receives FDA Clearance To Commence A Phase III Trial Of DP-b99 In Acute Stroke Patients
D-Pharm announced today that its Investigational New Drug (IND) application for a pivotal Phase III clinical trial of DP-b99 in acute ischemic stroke patients has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). I think we are going to see a lot of push back from physicians once they actually start to adopt EHR. When they realize the impact in workflow is resulting in lower cashflow and that their limited use will not allow them to qualify for ARRA incentives, they will realize that $44K + -2% is not worth it. Tattnall Hospital is not the first and I am sure they will not be the last. Those providers who do implement will likely suffer until they get funding and then drop. If you are a tax payers like me and the many physicians you have taked to have said they don\'t NEED or WANT this technology, we have to ask how much will it cost us to FORCE them to use.
